Recap, Progress, and a list of interesting yet unnecessary facts

Ladies and gentlemen,
He who waits for something good, never waits too long, as the famous swedish saying goes. I'm back! I've been slowly waking my brain up from the dark winter and haven't really had anything to talk about to be honest.

Already more than halfway through my year at BIMM as we speak, week 18 of 30 starting tomorrow. This also marks the start of one of the more hectic weeks as thursday means Music Project Performance, and audition for the end of term showcase. Basically; A shit-ton of work and little time for anything else. It's hardly surprising that you get into a bit of isolation during these weeks, because you really don't spend time thinking about other things.

Music is the window to the soul, said Plato somewhere a long time ago. It's amazing how smart some of the old greeks actually were and how much of that information is still relevant today. For a long time I haven't really been able to make much sense of my own musical creativity. It's been fuck all basically. Interestingly enough this is pretty much how i've been feeling about a lot of things since I finished Stage4You. I've been having a hard time finding a place and a way forward. Motivation has been at an all time low at times, but now finally I'm getting back into business! A week ago I wrote the first song I've written in a long time. The quality is debatable of course, as with all other things, but it was, progress.

Progress is weird. It's something we all strive for but cannot really grasp. What is progress to some, can be the opposite to somone else. For some reason It's taken me a while to understand this. 21 years to be exact, I'm a bit slow in the start mmkay. A lot of the time I have been comparing myself to others progress, something that is horrible for your own mental health. Cause when it all comes down, it doesn't really matter does it? Some people will always be ahead of you, some will be behind. Some will be okay with that, some will mock you for it. And after all, nobody cares. Nobody, ever cares about anything. Just live to your own best ability!

Enough with this philosophical stuff. Time for the first list of spring 2015! It's basically, interesting yet unnecessary information. This just happens to be my most favourite thing in the world, part of the reason I listen to Institutet a lot. So enjoy!

1: Non-newtonian fluid
This is one of the more trippy things out there. A regular fluid, say water, acts as we expect it to (I'm not going to go into how water acts guys, you should know that stuff). A non-newtonic fluid however is really weird. When you apply pressure to it, say punch it, it's hard. If you however slowly lower your finger into it, it remains soft and fluid-like. Try it out at home by mixing cornflour and water (Or just google the recipe for easy acess. You lazy bums.).

2: The Ravens of Tower of London
This one I found out just yesterday. The ravens living in the Tower of London, are actually considered as soldiers of the brittish army. Intersting, but not very useful. Motto of my life.

3: Gengish Khan Enviromentalist
So basically, the great Gengish Khan formed the greatest empire known to mankind to date. Massive, spanning from Hungary in the west to China in the east. How did he form it? Through the good old sword and arrow meets soft body parts of enemies of course. As a matter of fact, the mongols killed enough people to get impact on the global climate. Because cities and populated areas were returned to the forests, huge amounts of Co2 was removed from the atmosphere (eqv of 1 year of global exhaust today).

So yeah that's it I suppose! I will be back in Sweden at around the 20th of march, and then back here for the final term. It's gonna be great lads. See you soon
